Medical Device Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Successfully delivers company projects to time, cost, and quality in accordance with company strategy and priorities.

  2. Works closely with all department leaders, team members, and Executive team.

  3. Collaborates across all departments and functions including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Service, Marketing, and the Executive team.

  4. Develops, manages, facilitates, and maintains all relevant project documentation and content, leveraging appropriate project management systems and tools.

  5. Coordinates functions and team member within the company to ensure strategic priorities and projects are executed accordingly to an agreed upon time line.

  6. Directs activities to keep projects on-track.

  7. Resolves any issues that may hinder the successful completion of the project. Proactively escalates to the Executive team risks, interventions, or choices to keep projects on-track.

  8. Maintains communications with all company personnel, formal and informal, regarding project status and changes.

  9. Leads and directs daily team meetings and weekly engineering/QA team meetings.

  10. Follows all required Company procedures, including quality and safety procedures, and maintains complete and accurate records.

  11. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information.

Key Competencies:

  1. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.

  2. Ability to lead cross-functional project teams, gain buy-in required, and push-back when appropriate.

  3. Ability to gather information, identify solutions, and make recommendations and decisions.

  4. Bias towards action and delivering solutions that keep projects on-track.

  5. Ability to work efficiently and professionally under pressure with time constraints.

  6. Must promote environment of cooperation and customer/client focus.

  7. Proficient with project management systems and tools.

  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, et cetera).

  9. Understanding of regulatory and quality guidelines for medical devices.

 

Required Education and Experience:

  1. B.A. or B.S. degree required.  Equivalent experience may be considered.

  2. At least 5 years’ experience in project management required.

  3. An understanding of regulatory and quality guidelines for Medical Devices required.

  4. At least 2 years’ experience in medical device industry strongly preferred.

  5. Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.

 

Work Location:

This is a full-time exempt role that is on-site at 1105 Western Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio. Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. The responsibilities of this position do not allow for a remote work schedule.

 

Other Considerations:

  • This position reports directly to the CEO. It does not have any direct reports.

  • This position does not require regular travel.
